Rodrigo Hasbún is a Bolivian writer and screenwriter. He is the author of eight works of fiction and nonfiction, including the novels Affections (Simon & Schuster) and The Invisible Years (Deep Vellum). Chosen by the Hay Festival as one of the Best Latin American writers under the age of 39 for Bogotá39, and named one of Granta’s Best Young Spanish-Language Novelists, his short stories have appeared in Granta, McSweeney’s, Words Without Borders, and elsewhere. His work has been translated into twelve languages.

He lives and works in Houston.
